WTCM News	WTC MACAU AND INTER-UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF MACAU (IIUM) HOLD TWO JOINT SEMINARS
	The World Trade Center Macau and the Inter-University Institute of Macau (IIUM) held two joint seminars on "International Marketing" and "Venture Capital - A Strategic Investment" at the Business Executive Club respectively on 12 September and 4 July. Prof. Gurprit Kindra, Associate Professor of the University of Ottawa, Canada, was the expert speaker on International Marketing. Mr Kindra explained in detail the concept of superior customer service, stressing that Macau should divert its low price strategy to a higher rank selling mode. The President of the Portuguese Venture Capital Association, Rui G. Soares underlined the importance of venture capital as part of a strategic alliance in terms of the world economy’s further internationalisation process. He also gave an expert forecast on the globalisation trends of venture capital. WTC Macau President António Leça said that the World Trade Center Macau would further strengthen its close co-operation with the Inter-University Institute of Macau. Two more seminars are scheduled to be held at the WTC Macau in October and November.
	THE WTC MACAU WILL BE A WINDOW OF THE CHINA MARKET
	WTC Macau set up a "China Desk" in September to assist both local and foreign traders and investors in developing business in China. The main role of the "China Desk" is to provide detailed information on topics covering China market research, trade statistics, China market laws and trade-related information to those who want to do business and launch investments in China. WTC Macau will be a window of the China market. A wide range of trade-related books, investment guide reference material, directories and periodicals about the China market are available.
